Weekend Review Farmer's Market

To make up for last weekend's lack of photos I decided to take a whole lot this weekend! It started with movie night on Friday night. The Hubs teaches a class that night leaving me with my girls to watch movies and eat popcorn. Gibbie decided she is totally into Star Wars. In actuality she totally wants it to be on in the background while she plays and every now and then exclaim how much she loves Darth Vader. So this Friday we did our nails while watching it:

Check out her Spider-Man pajamas. I love how eclectic she is!

Later that night Squish decided she didn't feel good so we hung out after Gibbie went to bed:

Our Saturday was mostly spend in a different city. I love living so close to the city north of us. It's a smaller city but there's so many more things for us to do there. First stop was the farmer's market. Squish is such a homebody so she wouldn't eat for us but I think she was happy to be outside:

Gibbie had her face painted for the very first time ever! She got to pick what she wanted and then she held perfectly still for the guy and it came out super awesome:

Check out The Hubs. He's so handsome:

Along with some awesome shopping we were also entertained by dancers from Nepal:

Our final stop at the farmer's market was to check out the dog adoptions. I don't know why we do that to ourselves. We are in no way ready for a dog in our house but it doesn't stop us from really wanting one. We picked one, named it, and walked away. Now I'm sitting here wishing that Sadie, my made up dog, was here.

So to cheer me up we went to a little pizza and wine restaurant. I was better in no time:

This is our view of the drive home through pecan orchards:

I got a new phone Sunday so the next pictures will probably be sharper than the last few. We went to my in-law's house where Squish enjoyed some tummy time and Gibbie got a new board game:

The Hubs found his old Star Wars toys from his childhood and brought them home for our girls to enjoy:

I'm pretty sure he's having fun playing with them as well!

And finally, my favorite picture from the weekend:

Weigh In and More

Also known as "Too Much Tuesday" because I always end up doing way too much on Tuesdays. Thank God The Hubs takes Gibbie to school, I'm not sure if I could handle one more thing to do today.

So this is how I ended my Weight Watchers week yesterday:

This is actually the first week since I've been back on the program that I haven't used all of my weekly points so I'm pretty proud of that.

I'm thrilled that I lost so much:

I didn't weigh in last week because I was at a direct sales party at a friend's house that day and couldn't find the time to go to a different meeting so this is actually a two week progress.

I went grocery shopping right after my Weight Watchers weigh in then rushed home to put away groceries and feed Squish. I almost had a super awesome photo of her but spit up happens:

After just a few minutes of playing with Squish it was time to pick up Gibbie from school. We only had time to get home and change clothes before heading to Taekwondo. Today she got her white belt:

She was so proud! Even The Hubs got off of work early to come see her. I was so exhausted by the time we got home we just ordered pizza and called it a night.

Pour Squish is teething. No really, she is teething! I didn't believe it could happen so early, she's not even four months old, but there is the tip of a tiny tooth shooting out of her gums. I'm in shock and I feel so bad for her. This explains why she went from sleeping through the night for an entire month to waking up once or twice to eat in the past week.

How was your day?

Flashback Friday

One of my nieces and I at my sister's house in Colorado. Very old picture. This kid is no longer a kid but a crazy teenager.

Best friend E and I at her wedding. The Hubs is behind me. This was before he was The Hubs but I caught the flowers so you know what happened next.

I think the caption I couldn't make go away says it all. This was pre-Gibbie so that makes it OK.

Oh the shenanigans I used to be involved with.
An old friend of mine hosting a get together.

Back in the days where we could stay out as late as we wanted!

I once found an inappropriately shaped Gerber snack.

The day we got the keys to our house, a little over a year ago. I'm still in love with my big kitchen!

The first meal I made in my kitchen!

Oh I really miss having short hair.

Future star of the USA Women's Soccer Team!

Weekend Review

I didn't take nearly enough pictures this weekend. It went by so fast!

Saturday morning we were supposed to have someone over to look at our roof and walls for the water damage. My father-in-law came over to help us out because the man coming to check it out only spoke Spanish. He was three hours late. By the time he got here we already got the guy who was doing repairs next door come over, look over everything (inside, outside, on the roof), give us a quote, and chit-chat. My father-in-law had to get going so when the guy finally did show up he was pissed that neither The Hubs nor I spoke Spanish. He took a look at the back patio and said it would cost $550. That's not even what was supposed to be repaired. Needless to say we're going with the guy who came first.

In the late afternoon Gibbie and I went to a one year old's birthday party.

It was at Peter Piper Pizza so Gibbie was a happy kid. Of course she wasn't too thrilled when mama when to the wrong one and we had to leave to go to another one. Mama's good at doing that. Second time now.

Now this is the complicated part. The birthday party was for the niece of one of my old friends who I haven't seen in more than four years. He wasn't even there because he lives in Seattle now. His parents invited me which was awesome because I hadn't seen them in almost 3 years.

Cake was the only thing that could get her away from the games. I didn't get to visit as much as I would have liked to but it was still very nice to see them and Gibbie had a ton of fun so I'd say it was worth it.

Afterwards we went home. I was invited to a housewarming party by a different friend I haven't seen in a very long time but alas, I was exhausted by the time I drove all the way across town to get home.

We got home and The Hubs was hungry so we went with him to a Chinese restaurant.  Gibbie and I only had one slice each at the pizza place and a small piece of cakes so we ate enough to finish filling us up at the Chinese place.

This morning we got up and took our time getting ready for church.

Check out her cute breakfast set up here. Waffles and OJ, almost every morning! Depending on what she's eating we let her eat here on the ottoman. You flip the top and open it up and woohoo there's a table.

We went to the late service at church, then home for a nap, and out to eat with grandma and grandpa. Grandma and grandpa are heading on an Alaskan cruise next Friday and will be gone for over a week so they had to get some baby time in. I'm so glad I get along with all of my in-laws.

I never imagined it would be so ridiculous getting the wall, ceiling, and roof fixed. I'm just glad it's finally happening. I'm ready to get everything back to normal and start planning for Gibbie's third birthday party!
